Past, Present & Future
History:
Endmoor & District Lawn Tennis Club was founded in 1972 with an initial membership of 16. This quickly rose to 80+. The club had many successful years but due to the building of the new primary school in 1988, one of the courts had to be demolished. Until this was rebuilt and repositioned members drifted away and the club nearly folded. Since then the club has gone from strength to strength and now has over 100 members. However, the club continues to look for new members of all abilities.

Club Facilities:
New Club House with changing rooms, electricity & kitchen facilities.
Two resurfaced (2002) tarmacadam courts with all year round availability.
Open access to key holders.

Club Events & Social Activities:
Regular weekly club sessions.
Junior coaching & tournaments.
Regular Sunday competitions many including juniors.
Annual 'end of season' Fun Tennis event for all members with a BBQ or 'Jacob's Join' meal.
Christmas Festive Dress Competition.

Club Development Plans:

To continue improving the facilities (subject to funding & planning) by installing flood lighting.
To continue to encourage all ages of the population to play tennis.
To provide on-going coaching opportunities for all.
Targeted membership drive to increase female members both at junior & senior level & encourage them all to join the teams.
